LOVE WEEK
A week of community outreach to those in need. Join the effort, sign up today at the Info Center or by calling the office at 403-320-1565.
Volunteer opportunities include:
P.I.N. BANK [people in need] -
The Bank: Come and help sort, size, add inventory clothing and household goods and hand out items to those in need.
Food Drive: Collect non-perishables for distribution to those in need.
Clothing Drive: Ask your neighbors and family to help us help the poor by bringing your gently used clothing donations.
SUNDAY HOT MEAL - Hot Meal: Great entry level ministry. Serve a hot meal at 12:30 to those who’s only hot meal of the week may be yours.
PARKSIDE HOME [men's home] - Handyman Opportunities: Help repair and paint the inside of Parkside Home. 7 to 9PM
ON THE STREETS - Bring sandwiches, coffee and a caring heart to broken and forgotten people in our community who are hungry and lonely on the streets and in several rooming houses.
Sandwich Team: You can join one of the afternoon teams that prepare the 30 to 50 loaves of sandwiches needed for the day.
Mobile Unit: Come and be a part of teams who go out Mon to Fri from 7 to 9 pm
Van Harlem [Squirrel cage]: Handing out food, engage the tenants in conversation and possible prayer. Note: there can be no expectation of healthy behavior from the 35-40 tenants of the house. (5-10 people per night - Staff supervised. Sorry no teenagers. Must have men on each team.)
